Marahare leaves Henderson Eels FC after four TSL seasons
FOOTBALL Coach, Eddie Marahare has thanked Henderson Eels Football Club (FC) for his time with the club as he bids farewell.
In a brief statement Sunday, Marahare described the four seasons he spent with Eels as a success and is so far the best achievements in his coaching career.
He said he is grateful for the opportunity given to him and for having the trust in him.
“I wish to take this opportunity to thank the management, especially the club owner, Hudson Wakio for a brief farewell occasion to mark the end of my engagement with the Henderson Eels FC.
“I thank you for the trust and confidence you have in me to be the Head coach of Henderson Eels FC.
“It is a sad moment but at the same time a happy one after appreciating and acknowledging the football successful stories during the past 4 seasons with the team.
“On personal reflection, my stint with Henderson Eels was the highlight and best achievement in my coaching career.
“The club’s historic performance in the OFC Champions League of 2019 and 2020 together with the crowning as S League Champions in the 20/21 season will always be remembered and cherished in my life,” he stated.
Marahare vowed to remain close to the team and wished the club all the best and for the future.
Since taking up the coaching role for Eels, Marahare has made fine achievements, leading Eels to finish second behind Solomon Warriors in his first season and later led Eels to win their first TSL title in the 202/2021 TSL season.
With the coaching position now vacant for Eels, it is not yet known who will fill in the gap.
