THE defending champions of the Solrais Women’s Premier League (SWPL) Henderson Eels are still maintaining the top spot of the SWPL table with five matches away before the league ends.
Eels ladies currently sit at the top of the table with 34 points, 3 points clear at the top from the second table leader Naha FC who with 31 points.
As the end of the season draws near, Eels is eyeing another title with just five matches away before the end.
Eels has been on a winning streak since the start of the first season, winning all matches and draw 1 match until Naha FC ended their winning streak before the mid-season break handing the defending champions 1-0.
Returning into the second round they won their respective matches until today.
So far, they won 11 matches, draw 1 and lost 1 in 13 matches played.
Thus, they have the advantage in claiming the SWPL title if they continue with their impressive run.
Follow match-week 13 last weekend, Eels still leads with 34 points, Naha moved up to second place with 31 points, RSIPF Royals sits on the third spot with 27 points.
Koloale FC sits with 25 points on the fourth place while Haura sits with 24 points on the fifth spot.
SWPL is anticipated to return this weekend with another interesting matches as the league enters match-week 14.
