The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) will elect its president this Sunday.
The decision to elect the president was agreed upon by the NOCSI executive following their recent meet.
This is actually a re-election since the previously elected president the late Andrew Nori died not long after his new appointment.
Since Nori’s loss there has not been any progress for any re-election for this position or to appoint a general secretary (GS).
So the aim this weekend is to elect and appoint a new president and a new general secretary.
NOCSI Vice president solidarity, Joe Ramosaea has been acting president since Nori’s departure.
The number of candidates to run for presidential election is still unknown.
