The court will be reviewing the warrant of arrest issued for one of the prison escapees Frank Firimolea on Friday.
Firimolea is facing charges of office break-in, store break-in, an armed robbery and resisting police arrest.
His matter was brought to the Honiara Magistrates’ Court on Monday for the review of his warrant of arrest.
The warrant of arrest was issued for Firimolea on December 20, five days after he and two other prisoners escaped from the Rove Correctional Centre.
Only one of the prisoners was recaptured last month while Firimolea and another alleged robbery Dilo Faiga are still on the run.
Having been informed that the warrant of arrest is yet to be executed, Principal Magistrate Felix Hollison adjourned the matter to February 14.
He made the short adjournment because Firimolea’s co-accused Eddie Sanau will be appearing in court on that day for plea.
They are jointly charged for the armed robbery charge.
This is in relation to the allegation on the early hours of 28 April last year at a Bakery in East Honiara.
Prosecution alleged seven men including the two accused allegedly robbed more than $50,000 from the Bakery.
They were allegedly armed with knives and allegedly attacked the owner of the Bakery.
The owner of the Bakery allegedly sustained injuries.
Apart from this alleged incident, Firimolea on that same day allegedly broke into a store at Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Limited (GPPOL) 2, in East Guadalcanal.
This is in relation to an allegation on April 28, last year at Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Limited (GPPOL 2) in East Guadalcanal.
Prosecution alleged Firimolea allegedly broke into a store and stole some cash and a carton of cigarette.
The office break-in relates to an allegation on 22 October 2018 at the Honiara City Council (HCC) office.
Firimolea allegedly escaped but was later arrested after finger print tests were carried out.
The Public Solicitor’s Office represents Firimolea while the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutors (ODPP) is prosecuting this matter.
