PERMANANET Secretary (PS) for Finance and Treasury McKinnie Dentana says the monitoring of the Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) will begin this June.
In a radio talk-back show yesterday, Dentana said those who have received support have to prepare as they will be visited by the monitoring team at their home as stated in their project application.
“The monitoring team will pay a visit to your home to get information on how you have used the support provided by the government.
“There are key provinces that we have identified to participate in the monitoring, and which I like to inform the public that from those provinces which we have identified including Honiara, Guadalcanal, Malaita, Western, Choiseul and Isabel provinces to carry out the monitoring of the ESP.”
Dentana explained this is because they are the ones that have received the quite number of support under the ESP package.
“On this process we will engage around 15 youths, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has supported the government to implement this monitoring and evaluation, and we have expected to complete this monitoring process by June, July and reporting of the outcome have to be produced at the end of September this year,” he said.
