Dear Editor – I would appreciate if you allow me space in your newsletter to highlight my brief perspective on Ethical Leadership.
Ethical leadership is a profound and simple phrase but unlucky for us, we only have few of these types of leaders in our country. Honesty, trust, consideration, charisma, teambuilding and fairness are some of the characteristics to look for when choosing a leader.
To have leaders with ethical qualities is of essence, especially if a country is to prosperous or be corrupt free.
When our nation lack leaders with ethical standards and moral responsibility towards the state and its people, disagreements, no cooperation and nepotism results.
This can then give rise to further problems that might at times go beyond our scope to resolve ourselves. Therefore, once we base the selection of our leaders on ethical leadership, surely our nation will be in safe hands and prosperity will result.
