THE Solomon Islands National University (SINU) has awarded the contract to supply computers for the School of Business and Management and the Institute of Tourism’s computer laboratory to eWorld Technology (SI) Ltd.
The SINU Tender Board had received a total of seven offers from prospective vendors and eWorld was the successful bidder.
SINU is upgrading its existing student’s computer laboratories with new 120 desktop computers.
In a statement, SINU said with increasing number of students and introduction of new programs at SINU, it has become necessary that the university improves its IT services.
“Our students will now have increased access to computers,” the statement said.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, the General Manager of eWorld Technology (SI) Ltd. Sashi Singh thanked SINU for their confidence in eWorld Technology.
The contract was signed by SINU Vice Chancellor Dr Glynn Galo and Mr Singh Monday this week.
