NATIONAL flag carrier Solomon Airlines has announced two additional flights from Honiara to Sydney starting this Friday.
In a statement, the Airlines said the Air Bus will be operating two additional services on Friday 7 and 21 January.
“Flight IE710 will depart Honiara 2.45pm, arriving Sydney 7pm, continuing to Brisbane 8pm, and arriving 8.30pm,” the statement said.
To be eligible to travel on the Honiara-Sydney service, passengers must be an Australian national, hold a permanent resident visa, or be immediate family of Australian nationals, the statement said.
“They must be fully vaccinated at least 7 days prior to travel and able to show a Proof of Vaccination certificate, or have an immediate international connection within 8 hours,” the statement concluded.
Its understood a number of services are being earmarked as well for the coming months.
Meanwhile, incoming passengers are still on hold given the rise in the Omicron variant.
