FORMER national U17 player Stanford Fakasori will soon make his debut appearance in the Telekom S-league (TSL) competition with the defending champions, Solomon Warriors FC.
The 17-year-old left-back plays for the Junior Warriors and will now have his first opportunity to have a run in the country’s highest football competition.
Playing alongside the defending champions is something most young players dream of achieving.
This is a bonus for Warriors for having another young blood in its line up and also for young Fakasori who will have the opportunity to learn from this bunch of experienced players.
The youngster was part of the Solomon Islands U17 national football team that played the FIFA U17 World Cup held in Brazil last year.
Many players from the national U17 team that represented the country at the recent FIFA U17 World Cup tournament are already playing in the Telekom S-League like Barrie Limoki, Derrick Taebo, Javin Wae, Leon Kofana and Raphael Lea’i to name a few.
Meanwhile, the 2020 Telekom S-League continues today and this weekend at Lawson Tama Stadium with another four matches.
Solomon Warriors will kick off this season against Marist FC on August 19 at Lawson Tama.
