IT is high time that Solomon Islanders, especially Malaitans vote in new Members of Parliament (MP).
Outspoken former provincial member, Mambo Fangaria made the call following what he describes as a lack of performance and self serving attitudes by most of the Malaita MP’s in the 9th Parliament.
“Malaita as a province has great potential to develop massively.
“We have both natural and human resources to help drive the province forward.
“However poor leadership and poor management by our MP’s is what’s preventing development from taking its rightful toll in our respective constituencies,” Mr Fangaria said.
Mr Fangaria said that people should start choosing wisely for leaders who will carry Malaita and the nation forward and not just vote for a couple of hundred dollars handed out to them.
“We should use our right to vote not for the couple of hundred dollars given to us now but for the betterment of our future and also that of our children.
“It is time Malaita grows and develops to greater lengths,” Mr Fangaria said.
The National General Elections is scheduled for 19, November.
