FANGS Company has offered his building at Nggossi for the nurses and doctors at the National Referral Hospital to rest and self-isolate.
National Referral Hospital (NRH) Medical Superintendent Dr Janella Solomon said the building is fully furnished with supplies of water and dry goods (food) that can last for more than two weeks.
Dr Solomon said the company provided beddings, pillows, blankets, kitchen utensils, laundry facilities and other items.
She said the company offer this donation in kind following reports of the growing number of staff at the hospital who are sick with COVID-19.
“We would like to reassure the community at Nggossi and Tasahe that our staff will abide to the infection and prevention control measures,” she said.
“This facility is out of bound to the public.
“Any breach noted by the community should be reported to the National Health Emergency operation or the authorities of the National Referral Hospital through NRH EOC on 21068.”
Fangs Company also pledged to purchase medical beds and equipment and to assist with the immediate needs of the hospital.
Dr Solomon therefore, thanked Fangs Company for this kind donation.
“On behalf of the senior executive members of MHMS and NRH, we would like to thank Fangs Company and his business associates for this donation.
She said the place was ready for use as of yesterday evening.
Meanwhile, Dr Solomon and her team took the opportunity to share their sincere condolences to the family of one of their members who passed away yesterday.
