FARMERS continue to steadily supply the Honiara main market with good despite the wet season.
A woman from Vura village in west Guadalcanal said they have no problem with their farms.
“The recent heavy downpour did not cause any havoc although impacts in terms of yields may be seen later,” she said.
She added that the good roads and infrastructure in West Honiara has made it easy for them to transport goods to Honiara at anytime.
“This is because the good roads have prompted increased competition in transport services.”
The women said selling of produces at the central market is their only form of income for school fees and other household needs.
She added that Honiara residents depend on their goods at the market therefore they must consistently provide fresh food for people to buy.
