Fataleka constituent John Talo is calling on the Constituency Development Officer for Fataleka constituency, George Abana, to explain how constituency funds are used in 2015.
These include Agriculture Funds, Forestry Fund (downstream processing and reforestation), and Church Fund allocation of $200,000.
Talo said there is nothing on ground to prove that funds are being used for its intended purpose.
“Can the CDO mention how many churches within the Fataleka constituency have benefited from the church fund?
“Or what communities or individuals benefited from the other funds meant for rural livelihood improvement?” questioned Talo.
Talo said all these available funds meant for the constituency development never reached people in the rural areas.
“This is a broad day light robbery, and the CDO must explain to the people of the constituency how he spends their money.
“It’s the people’s money, and they have the right to know where and what has been spent on,” Talo said.
CDO George Abana was contacted for comments on his phone but did not answer.
