A FATHER of four broke his left arm on Sunday when celebrating Fathers’ Day without his family.
The man started drinking on Friday afternoon till Sunday when he fell into a drain and hit a log beside his house at Henderson, East Honiara.
His wife said that her husband is a drunkard; he always spend his money on alcohol whenever he gets his pay.
The man’s wife said, “after her husband collected his pay package on Friday, he never came back home to at least give us some money to buy food for the weekend.”
‘’Just after work he followed his friends and went to Bonege beach to celebrate Father’s Day.
‘I called his cell phone seven times on Saturday morning but he never answered any of my calls,” the wife said.
He only replied by texting her and said he wanted to celebrate Fathers Day with his friends.
The wife said on his way back home, a car full of drunken people dropped him beside a betel-nut stall and he walked back home, and suddenly he fell off into a drain and hit a log and broke his left arm.
The wife said she heard her husband calling for help, but she refused to answer. Some young men around the area answered his call and carried him to his kitchen.
The wife said her husband also sustained some other injury when he fell into the drain full of logs and old tinned cans and it was good for him to learn some lessons.
