FC Isabel United left the country for Vanuatu to play two friendly matches in Port Vila.
Reports reaching Star Sports confirmed a total of 23 players and two officials traveled to Vanuatu on Monday.
Earlier the club’s assistant coach told Star Sports they were very honored as one of the new football club in the Telekom S-League to have the opportunity to go to Vanuatu and play friendly matches against Vanuatu top sides.
“I think we had a very big opportunity to be invited by Galaxy FC for this trip,” he said.
“Definitely we will use the opportunity as part of our preparation for the upcoming Telekom S-League,” he said.
Star Sports understands FC Isabel will take on the hosts select side on Wednesday 5th of February 2020 in their first friendly before taking on the Vanuatu champions Galaxy FC for the main match set for Saturday 8th of February 2020 at Port Vila Municipal.
Meanwhile, prior to the team’s tour the Gideon Omokorio coached side stunned the TSL champions club the Solomon Warriors 4-2 in a friendly match which definitely boosted the team’s morale for their tour.
