AS fears of flooding deepens amidst the heavy rain warnings, residents of the Hatanga Company housing estate at Independence Valley have raised their fears of a landslide.
A resident in the area said land in front of their building had already dropped and continuous rain will be very dangerous for the family.
“The front area of our house has already collapsed with our flower-beds.
“It is a huge area that has gone because of the continuous rain.
“If the rain continues, out home will follow.”
The resident said it is a problem that no one can do anything about but it is one of the risks that nature brings to people, not just flooding.
