NATIONAL coach Felipe Vega-Arango has called on the public to show good support in today’s match between the Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
Felipe made the call when speaking to the media on Monday.
“I want the people who show up for the game to show respect to our players and New Zealand,” he said.
“And whatever happens please do not start things like riot or any disturbance,” Felipe added.
“Sometimes people are being negative when the team loses but people don’t know how much work is behind preparing a team
“I want everyone to be part of the team and I want to hear everybody saying Go Solo Go.
“Be nice to the players they have worked hard.
“If people want to criticize somebody, criticize me,” he said.
His counterpart New Zealand’s coach, Anthony Hudson admitted he knew about the strong support from the people and hopes everyone enjoys the match.
New Zealand captain, Durante, said he hoped the match today is enjoyable despite whatever outcome the end result.
