Fiji Rugby Union has terminated the contract of Senior Operations Officer Aporosa Tuqovu.
Tuqovu has joined the list of people being terminated from Rugby House so far making him the eighth man to be asked to leave FRU excluding his former Operations Manager Vilikesa Rinavuaka who handed in his resignation letter.
FijiLive understands Tuqovu was handed his termination letter yesterday.
Tuqovu could not be contacted as he has returned his official FRU mobile phone to the parent body.
When contacted FRU acting CEO, Berlin Kafoa said he could not make any comments.
“I will have to check with HR, I handle HR but I wasn’t in the office yesterday afternoon, I will check this morning,” Kafoa told FijiLive.
The current board has so far terminated former Financial Controller Umesh Prasad; CEO Manasa Baravilala; Marketing officer Priya Cook; Flying Fijians coach Inoke Male; National Academy Program’s Manager Franck Boivert; storeman Maretino Atonio and groundsman Kaveni Raitamata.
Termination of contracts is all part of the Board’s commitment to restructuring FRU.
They have made some positions redundant while the responsibilities of some positions have been absorbed by current staff.
