The Fiji Football Association has confirmed the dates and venue for the 2014 Vodafone Fiji FACT which is the first of the three local tournaments.
The Association’s chief executive Bob Kumar said the group stage will be played on June 20-22 and the semifinals, final on June 28-29.
Fiji FA also revealed that Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori will host the two- weekend event.
“Initially we decided that the group stages will be played in Suva and finals in Nausori. But the OFC Under-19 championship will be staged in Fiji in May so we had to reschedule the Vodafone Fiji FACT dates,” Kumar said.
“The new dates does not avail the Suva venue so the Fiji FA board decided that it would be in their best interest to take the entire tournament to Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.”
Nadi is the defending FACT champion.
They defeated Ba 3-1 in the final last year which was played at Prince Charles Park.
Like last season, eight Super Premier teams will feature in the main competition.
The Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants will be played at Prince Charles Park, Nadi and Govind Park in Ba.
The 2014 Courts Inter District Championship will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
