Fiji Times – THE four district teams will spice up the Pacific Cup which starts in Sydney, Australia on November 26.
Defending champions Nadi, Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League and Courts Inter District Championship winner Suva, Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants champion Rewa and Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion winner Ba will battle it out against teams from Australia and New Zealand during the five-day tournament.
Australia Fiji Football Association president Nick Sharma said they were excited to host the tournament in Sydney after its success in Auckland, New Zealand for the past two years.
Sharma said the tournament would not only showcase quality football but the Fiji carnival atmosphere as well.
The tournament featuring ten teams will be held at the Sydney United Sports Complex in Edensor from November 26-30.
Nadi is in Group A with Ba, AFFA All Stars, New Zealand Nadi and New Zealand Three.
Suva, Rewa, Queensland, New Zealand Ba and AFFA Sydney are in Group B.
The winning team will receive more than $15,000 while the runner-up will get about $7400.
