SENTENCING submissions and mitigation on the case of recaptured prison escapee Frank Firimolea has been further deferred to Monday next week.
The sentencing submission listed for Monday did not happen as previously scheduled.
Public Solicitor’s lawyer Rodney Manebosa told the court that he is yet to prepare mitigation for his client.
He also said the agreed facts are yet to be settled with the prosecution before it is to be filed to the court.
Both Mr. Manebosa and the prosecutor will be also engaged in another trial this week.
Principal Magistrate Felix Hollison having heard from both the prosecution and the defense adjourned the matter to March 2.
This is for the sentencing submission and mitigation.
Firimolea has entered a guilty plea to the charge of armed robbery on the last court appearance.
He is jointly charged with Eddie Sanau in this matter.
Sanau had already pleaded guilty and his matter adjourned next Monday for sentence.
The incident in this matter happened on 28 April 2019 at a Bakery in East Honiara.
The prosecution alleged seven men including the two accused went and robbed more than 50,000 from the Bakery.
They were armed with knives and attacked the owner of the Bakery.
The owner of the Bakery sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
Public Prosecutor Steward Tonowane is appearing for the Crown.
