FIVE provincial premiers have been elected so far following the recent provincial assembly elections in six of Solomon Islands nine provinces.
Bartholomew Vavanga is now Premier of Guadalcanal Province, James Habu retains premiership of Isabel Province, George Selwyn Mapuli is new Premier of Central Province, Collin Suatai Singamoa is the new Premier of Rennell and Bellona Province and Peter Ramohia is Malaita’s new premier.
Temotu Provinces will elect their new Premier this week.
Honiara City Council also has a new Mayor, who is Alfrence Fatai.
