Former PM Manasseh Sogavare has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for East Choiseul Constituency retaining his seat with a total of 1,808 votes beating closest rival David Qurusu who polled 1, 549 votes.
The former Opposition leader Matthew Cooper Wale has also been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Aoke/Langalanga Constituency in Malaita Province.
Other members of parliament who have been re-elected are Tagini Makario who retains the Baegu/ Asifola Constituency seat in Malaita Province and Harry Kuma who was decrlared the winner for the North West Choiseul Parliamentary seat with a total of 3377 votes.
For West Makira Constituency, Derick Manuari has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament with a total of 1275 votes and Stanley Festus Sofu has been re-elected as the Member of Parliament for East Kwaio Constituency in Malaita Province.
