OUTGOING Malaita Premier Edwin Suibaea urges the new provincial members to continue to prioritise and seriously pursue major development projects earmarked for the province.
Mr Suibaea who lost his seat to new comer Glen Waneta during the provincial election early last month said, his administration last year initiated and agreed with cabinet some projects for 2015.
He said apart from the major national projects, his administration have agreed on dairy projects, tar-sealing of Malaita roads and upgrading of Aligegeo provincial secondary school to a national standard.
“To achieve these agreed projects, the incoming lot must work closely with the DCC government.
“I want to see these projects implemented as planned for this year because they are important,” he said.
“The new group must work together with the 14 Malaita MPs to ensure Malaitans get a fair share in terms of population.”
The former premier said developments projects earmarked for Malaita must be prioritized if Malaitans are to be kept at home.
Meanwhile, the province is yet to hold their premier’s election due to financial constraints.
