Outgoing auxiliary staff of the Solomon Islands National University were issued with notice to vacate the labour line last week.
The notice was issued to the former SINU auxiliary staff by police and SINU security officers.
Last week, one of the staff told this paper in an interview that they still have to vacate the labour-line because SINU is yet to pay for their dues.
He said they’d been waiting for their payment to be settled; however, they hadn’t received their payment when they were summoned to leave the labour-line.
Some of the former auxiliary staff have to go to their relatives in town to live while still demanding SINU to settle their dues before they can leave for their respective provinces.
The staff who spoke with this paper said they held a meeting last week to remind SINU of their responsibility to pay for their dues.
This paper understands that this has been an overdue issue between SINU and their former auxiliary staff.
