PAPUA New Guinea international Michael Foster says he is eager to help Malaita Kingz complete their Telekom S-League 2017/2018 campaign on a positive note.
The Kapuls midfielder told Star Sports on Tuesday upon arrival at the Henderson international airport as he rejoins Kings for the TSL round two.
“I’ll try my best to help the club achieve something better than last season.
“But it’s all down to how we work hard in training and approach each game,” he said.
Foster helped Kingz to finish 4th last season and he stated it’s nice to be back.
“I am really happy to rejoin Kingz though I was not available for the first round but I am excited to help the club in the second round,” he added.
The play-maker was not available earlier this year due to his commitments with Australian Geelong Soccer Club who are playing in the Victorian State League Division 1.
Star Sports understand Foster had resigned with Geelong SC for the 2018 season and will join later after the off season in Australia.
Foster’s arrival means Kingz now have 3 Kapuls in their ranks as he joins compatriots Jacob Sabua and Tommy Semmy.
“It’s good that 3 of us are playing in the same team and hopefully the Malaita Kingz players understand how we play.
“I think it will be fine as we go on and it’s good help the local boys as well,” he stressed.
Kingz assistant coach Rence Talo said, Foster’s arrival is a boost for the club.
“Foster was a quality player last season and his arrival will improve our play from the middle of the park.
“He will solve one of our main problems in round one which is the play-making role.
“We are really happy to have him back as a club going into the second round,” he said.
Talo added the club already received the player’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and Foster will be ready for their opening game of round two against Real Kakamora this weekend.
