Twenty-two year old Freda Maui will be Miss Honiara City Council (HCC) in the 2019 Miss Solomon Islands Beauty Pageant.
Honiara City Council (HCC) made the announcement last week to confirm its sponsorship for Freda.
“Honiara City Council is pleased to announce that we will be the major sponsor for Miss HCC, Freda Maui for the Miss Solomon Islands Beauty Pageant 2019,” a HCC statement reads.
Hailed from Renbel province, Freda is currently doing her degree in Counselling at the University of South Pacific (USP), Solomon Islands Campus.
In a short ceremony to seal the sponsorship deal, Freda met the City Mayor Cr. Wilson Mamae, City Clerk Rence Sore and the HCC team.
The city clerk and his team also said they are looking forward to supporting the Miss HCC in this year’s Miss Solomon Islands Pageant.
“Wish her well and let’s give her the support she deserves,” the statement added.
