Isabel province football team, Isabel Frigates and host Honiara have made it to the semi finals of the Solomon Games football competition following their respective final group match wins at the Lawson Tama, Tuesday.
Frigates shocked the Western Turtles with a narrow 2-1 win to take the lead in Pool A of the competition with eight points.
Honiara cruised past Central Islands 7-2 to finish the group matches with seven points.
Honiara had to make sure they have a big goal margin to compete for the runner up position since Temotu also had seven points.
Honiara ended the first half with a 4-0 lead and added their other three goals later in the second half.
Central province scored two goals but was not enough to deny Honiara the runner up spot.
The two other semi finalists will be made known today.
Leaders of group B, Makira Ulawa Province will take on Renbel at 2pm today followed by Malaita and Guadalcanal at 4pm.
Makira is currently leading the group with nine points from three straight wins.
Malaita and Lauru both share six points however Malaita leads in goal difference.
