MINISTER for Education Human Resource Development John Moffat Fugui challenges tertiary students under government cholarship to be good decision makers as future leaders.
Minister Fugui echoed the statements during his recent visit to local students studying at various intuitions in Fiji Tuesday this week.
A student studying at the University of South Pacific Laucala Campus Alphonce Botu told this paper via email Dr Fugui’s main message to the scholars is to strive for the best to return home and become good decision makers.
“One thing I took note of during the minister’s official addressing of the students is he speaks strongly on perseverance and decision making in the future when we return home after completion of our studies here in Fiji,” Mr Botu said.
Mr Botu also said senior student leaders approached the minister to expressed issues facing our local students in Fiji.
Fugui told the students, the DCCG government is committed to support the human resource development of the country in alignment with its policy statements.
Thousands of Solomon Islands students are studying at various Universities in Fiji this year.
Minister Fugui formerly paid a visit to the students on Tuesday at the Japanese ICT Multi-purpose Lecture Theatre, USP in Suva, Fiji.
