THE Minister for Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) John Moffat Fugui says that an availing quality educational opportunity is everyone’s business.
He was speaking during the launch of the country’s 15 years Education Strategic Framework (ESF) and five National Education Action Plan (NEAP) in Honiara on Friday.
“Availing quality educational opportunities are our responsibility as the government, education authority, principals, teachers, communities and parents,” Minister Fugui said.
He added the ministry aims at ensuring the quality of education opportunities for citizens.
As such Mr Fugui believes that through the framework it will direct everyone to that goal.
“This framework is well supported and relevant to start preparing the education journey in the country.”
The launching of the ESP and NEAP sets a new direction for the ministry with all sectors, stakeholders and rural communities in the country.
“Along with the successive documents now sets a landmark for progressive development of the education sector.”
Mr Fugui said that the new documents will see three to four years old attending Early Childhood Care Education establishment.
