Lawson Tama Stadium is set to come alive tomorrow morning as Bulk Shop Futsal League will officially kick off their league matches.
Michael Bate’e of the Solomon Islands Sports Coalition (SISC) confirmed this to Star Sports on Thursday.
“We would like to urge all parents, guardians and teachers’ to come and support the kids during their matches on Saturday (tomorrow),’’ Bate’e said.
He said first matches in each categories will kick off at 8am to be followed by the rest of the matches till 12 pm.
Bate’e also called on all the competing schools to be on time so that all matches can be completed in time.
Meanwhile the league is managed by SISC and is aimed at ‘developing leaders through futsal.
The league has been an outstanding example of what working together can achieve. In the previous league parents, teachers, company houses, churches, the government and SIFF all contributed to a successful year.
It also parallel with the (Sports and Leadership Training) SALT Ministry which Kurukuru’s and ex-Kurukuru’s train young people in school with Futsal.
The leadership component includes components of respect, time management, fair play, good sportsmanship and nationalism.
