THE two men accused of stabbing another man to death with a knife at Gilbert Camp in East Honiara last October have been committed to stand trial in the High Court.
Magistrate Emily Zazariko Vagibule had found sufficient evidence against the two defendants on the charge of murder.
This followed a Short Form Preliminary Inquiry conducted on this matter on Monday.
The defendants Junior Modoa and Bround Baefaka are charged for the murder that occurred on the night of 14 October 2024 near the Solomon Water tank at Gilbert Camp.
This followed an argument between the two defendants and the deceased.
The prosecution alleged that Baefaka hit the deceased on the head with a PVC pipe before Modoa stabbed him in the neck with a short knife.
The accused then fled the scene.
The deceased managed to walk back to his house, where he collapsed before being rushed to the National Referral Hospital (NRH).
He was pronounced dead by medical authorities after arrival at the hospital.
