AN Election awareness team made up volunteers from Isabel have completed a two week awareness program in Gao/Bugotu Constituency.
The Gao/Bugotu Team 4 Change (GBT4C) conducted awareness talks on the topics of gender justice, good leadership and fair, free and clean elections around 16 villages in Gao Bugotu Constituency.
Speaking to this paper, Team leader, Ender Fafoi Rence said that the initiative was part of educating people of the Constituency on clean, free and fair elections, something the team believes is vital when deciding good honest leaders for the Constituency.
“As concerned citizens, we too feel we have responsibilities to help build not only our constituency but also the entire nation through conducting awareness talks around these issues which we believe is vital before deciding on good leaders to lead our people.
“Making sure our people are well aware of clean Elections is our prime goal and we believe that by having awareness talks with our people, we can help them help themselves in choosing who is the most suitable leader for the Constituency,” Ms Rence said.
