HONIARA City Council (HCC) Councillor for Mbuburu ward 3, Alfred Iakona Auga has delivered solar street lights for communities around Geology area on Saturday.
This is part of his vision to install street lights throughout the whole of Mbuburu ward in West Honiara at the end of this year.
These sets of street lights are purchased by Mbuburu ward member using the first quarter ward grant.
Receiving the set of light from Councillor Auga is Community leader George Kosui.
George Kosui thanked the Councillor Auga for this assistance.
“These lights provide lighting the street at night that helps our women and young girls to walk freely during dark hours without any fear,” he said.
