THE Governor General and Head of State Sir David Vunagi wants strong disciplinary school rules to curb unaccepted attitude that has filtered into the schools in the country.
He highlighted this in his New Year 2022 speech.
“Unaccepted attitude has also filtered into schools and displayed by some students, such students do not take school seriously and often skipped classes.
“They are often seen near market stall along the road where couphen, marijuana, kwoaso, betel nut and cigarettes rolls are exchange.
“These are signs of time and required the ministry of education and education authority to review the disciplinary system in schools
“The convention form in discipline that includes the few hours of Manuel work, suspension and even termination of enrolment to have no effect,” the former school principal said.
He added that the discipline in schools needs to create the culture that moulds the students to live better lives and become good citizens of our nation.
