AS the celebration to mark the marathon programs leading up to commemorating Don Bosco’s 200 birthdays raged at Henderson’s Don Bosco centre, those in Gizo also held activities to mark the event.
The community marked three events during the weekend.
“Firstly we celebrated the 199th birthday of Don Bosco with the St Peter’s Training Center youth, celebrated women’s day and thanked God for the gift of Motherhood to our women and celebrated God’s love for us thanking him for giving us a new Deacon in Augustine Kasiava from Choiseul,” Bishop Luciano Capelli said.
The small and growing dynamic catholic community of the Gizo Diocese he said actively took part in the various activities.
