POLICE is yet to recover a man who fell off from MV Kosco near Ringi harbour.
The passenger and cargo vessel was on its routine trip to Western Province when the man from Kwaio, Malaita fell into the sea.
The incident led to relative holding up the boat with a demand that the body be recovered before they could release the boat.
However after police intervention, the vessel was released the next day.
Gizo Provincial Police Commander John Rove yesterday said police and relatives are still on the lookout as the body is yet to be found.
According to police, the man believed to have been drunk whilst on his way from Noro to Ringi, fell overboard just as the ship was about to berth at Ringi wharf.
Mr Rove urged people in the vicinity of the area concern to report to police any sightings of the man.
