CLASSES at Gizo Primary School in the Western Province resumed on Monday after two days of suspension last week due to issues affecting the school’s sewage system.
The school administration was forced to take the action to allow plumbers fix the problem which rendered the ablution block unusable.
All students have been advised last Wednesday to remain at home on Thursday and Friday to allow contracted plumbers to sort out the issue.
The sewage system and septic tanks came under pressure following the heavy rain experienced in the township more than a week ago, resulting in a flooded school compound and an overflowing drainage.
On Monday, most students turned up at school for the resumption of normal classes.
