THE construction of a footpath in Gizo, Western Province under the Community Access and Urban Service Enhancement (CAUSE) project is progressing well.
That’s according to the CAUSE Works Supervisor Edwin Ghasapio.
Speaking to the paper in an interview yesterday Mr Ghasapio said that the footpath is 300 meter length that has already started from the front of Gizo market to main Gizo district center and will end at the KHY area.
He said the second phase heads towards the east direction and will start from the Gizo main market heading the easterly direction all the way to the MSG building, to Gizo Hospital compound and further on.
Mr Ghasapio said the construction of the footpath will concentrate on certain specific area along the main town.
He further added that the footpath will bring a facelift to Gizo town and people in Gizo will benefit from it.
‘’This footpath once completed will allow people to have a proper walk way during rain time and to avoid road accidents,” he said.
