A LADY suffering from headaches for more than 30 years got cured by Dr Jack Lei, an acupuncturist of China Medical Team in Solomon Islands. She wrote a thank-you letter to China Medical Team.
“My name is Gladys. I am from Malaita. Before I was 10 years old, I contracted malaria many times. After that I was left with headaches, the pain would last for two or three weeks every month. Especially when I had my first menstruation, the pain got worse.
‘Even though I took many painkillers, they did not work. After 2020 things get worse, I had headaches every month before, during and after my menstruations, fidgeting with the headaches, nausea, eyes swollen, blurred vision and cold sweats, which seriously affected my life and work.
“On 30 January 2023, I came to the National Referral Hospital and the local doctor told me that there is a Chinese doctor who is practicing acupuncture at the physiotherapy department, and I can try to get treatment from him.
When I went to see him, Dr Jack was kind enough to greet me and give me an acupuncture treatment. After five treatments, my headaches were much relieved, and I was only in pain for one or two days a month without any other discomfort. On March 20, 2023, I came back for a medical review and got one more course of five times treatments from Dr Jack.
“After this course, I felt like a different person, and this time I had no headache attacks before, during or after menstruation, and no discomfort whatsoever, and this is a good time that I have never experienced in my over 30 years! Now, I feel very well whether I am working or doing what I love. I am very grateful to China medical team and Dr Jack, who freed me from more than 30 years of suffering.”
Since the 2nd China medical team in Solomon Islands arrived in March 2023, they have been looking after local patients with kindness and generosity, winning plenty of praise extensively.
