Sirowaga polling station in North West Choiseul on Wednesday has recorded 353 voters turning up to cast their votes out of the total 401 registered voters.
Mark Biloko, Returning Officer for Sirowagha Poling Station told the Solomon Star that the remaining 55 registered voters were unable to vote because some of them are living in Honiara while others were involved with the election task on Wednesday.
Mr Biloko said the election was conducted peacefully without much major disruption.
“Voting was very peaceful and was done transparently in front of a police officer.”
He thanked all those who turned up to cast their votes.
