LEADING Taro buyer in Malaita Province Goshen Enterprise Ltd is ready to work together with Taro out growers in the province with its donated tiller machine tractor and ploughing machine.
Operational Manager, Levite Luciano Maesimae announced this during the ground breaking ceremony of the first ever Taro Pack House at Adaliua, in the Central Kwara’ae electorate which is currently under construction.
Goshen Enterprise Ltd recently received a tiller machine, tractor and ploughing machine under the Enhanced Capabilities of Agriculture Trade (ECAT) through the multi-donor program called Enhanced Integrated Programme (EIF).
Mr Maesimae announced that machines to help Taro out growers in Malaita with ploughing are available where he called on taro farmers from Central Kwara’ae to West Fataleka in Ward 5 to come forward and notify them if they need those machines to help plough their farms.
He said Goshen is more than willing to assist Taro out growers with their ploughing machines going forward.
He said with those machines, work is fast and timely where he said it is now time to work to supply the soon to be completed Taro Pack House in the province.
While waiting for the Taro Pack House to be completed, Goshen Enterprise Ltd continues to buy Taro locally with $6 per kilo.
When the Taro Pack House is completed, Goshen Enterprise Ltd will be looking to export Taro overseas.
