The government is committed to developing Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven education policy that aligns with our goals and global practices.
Minister of Education, Hon. Tozen Leokana highlighted this during the International Education Day on Thursday 13th February 2025 at King George Six National Secondary school.
He said the AI education framework should focus on National AI in-Education Strategy, transfer training and AI literacy infrastructure, investment in digital infrastructure, ethnical AI and Data Privacy Regulation and emphasis on AI and STEM Education for future jobs.
He said every stakeholder should collaborate to harness AI’s potential, creating a future where education is personised, engaging, and accessible to all.

“Together we can ensure that AI enhances learning and teaching for generations to come,” Minister Leokana said.
The highlights of the celebration were the Tok Stori centred around the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Education: Challenges and opportunity”, how to navigate AI in learning and the role of education organisations and institutions in AI learning.
The key message highlighted during the Tok Stori was to integrate AI into school learning through developing a curriculum and policy framework for AI.
