PRIME Minister Manasseh Sogavare had made assurance to the nation that his government will not let any unlawful activity to happen.
Mr Sogavare made this statement in his fortnightly nationwide address after the recent rumours circulating within the societies of possible repeat of the recent unrest last November.
“Fellow Solomon Islanders, there are rumours circulating within our societies of a possible repeat of the unlawful action that happened last November.
“Let me assure our people that this Government will do all it can to make sure this will not happen. I urge all our peace loving, law abiding and God fearing Solomon Islands not to take part in any such planned action,” Mr. Sogavare said.
He urged everyone that this is our country and we must respect each other.
“Taking the laws into our own hands will not solve anything. We cannot continue down this path of destruction and violence. I have great trust in our character and moral values, and our propensity to do the right thing when faced with a choice between good and evil.
“Let us all come and work together. Let us protect our children and country. Let us build a better and stronger future,” said Mr. Sogavare said.
