THE National Government is planning to build sport and social infrastructures in provinces.
That’s according to Deputy Prime Minister Honourable, Manasseh Maelanga when speaking during the Isabel 2nd Appointed Day three weeks ago at Panatina SINU Cultural Village east Honiara.
“The national government would like to see such sporting infrastructures and other social infrastructure to be built in our provinces in the near future”, he said.
He said this determination depends much on any new government that comes in after the 2024 National General Election.
Meanwhile new sporting infrastructures are currently being constructed in Honiara towards the Pacific Games in November.
These infrastructures will benefit sports men and women in Honiara and will be open to the provincial athletes for future competitions.
He then encouraged Isabelians’ athletes who will be joining the Team Solomon to raise the Solomon Islands’ flag as they compete against other Pacific athletes in the 2023 Pacific Games.
