Solomon Islands Government has issued an advisory reminding all its nationals to avoid traveling to Israel and Palestine in the Middle East.
This is due to the uncertain security situation related to the ongoing war between the two nations.
The first advisory was issued in October 2023.
In a statement on Thursday the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade reiterated its travel advisory discouraging all its national to avoid traveling to the two nations.
Those who are currently in Israel have also been advised to make an arrangement to return home soon.
“The Solomon Islands Government wishes to discourage all citizens to not travel to Israel and Palestine due to dangerous and uncertain security situation.
“All citizens who are currently there are encouraged to make arrangements to return as soon as possible,” the statement said.
The travel advisory was first issued on the 13th October 2023 and remains in force.
“We call on all citizens to cooperate and prevent any future repatriations,” the statement said.
Its understood five Solomon Islands graduates are in Israel for a 10 months agriculture training.
