THE Minister for Youth, Children and Family Affairs (MWYCFA) has stated her ministry will try its best to amend maximum punishment to the kind of perpetrators that involved in the killing of late Mary and other similar cases.
Mrs Freda Rotutafi Rangirei stated this during the Sine Die Motion in Parliament last Wednesday.
She described the recent killing of late Mary on the island of Kolombangara as one of the saddest and a horrifying act done and also to other similar cases.
“My ministry with the government will be working closely with the underlying ministries, NGO’s, stakeholders, faith-based organisations and supporters.”
This is to try and work together in amending the act of maximum punishment to this kind of perpetrators.
She said that the government is serious about this and insisted that “We must stop this kind of act!”
