Guadalcanal Plains Palm Oil Limited (GPPOL) has commended landowners of Guadalcanal for hosting the nation’s big economic contributor.
General Manager Craig Gibsone expressed this at Guadalcanal’s 35th Second Appointed Day celebration on Thursday.
“For the past 14 years Guadalcanal province has hosted the operations of GPPOL in good and in bad times,” Gibsone added.
He said the relationship and bond that had been built up between the Guadalcanal GPPOL and Guadalcanal people is very strong and sure it will be everlasting.
“I thanked the people of Guadalcanal for allowing us to come and operate on your land and sharing the benefits that you created.
“With your assistance we have been able to show that we can rise from the ashes to what we have become today which is one of the biggest single company and biggest single contributor to the Solomon Islands economy,” he added.
Gibsone said what they were able to create together with the envy of the rest of the country and the rest of the Pacific is something worth appreciating.
GPPOL is one of the biggest country’s economic contributors that also provides employment opportunities for the people of Solomon Islands.
