GUADALCANAL and Central Provinces have booked their spot for semi-final matches of the SIFF womens U16 Invitational championship currently taking place at the SIFF Academy.
According to SIFF Women Development Officer Diana Justus, Guadalcanal earned their spot after defeating Koloale FC 3-0, Marist FC 1-0 and draw their final pool game 0-0 against Hana FC, Wednesday.
“Guadalcanal of Group A and Central Islands of Group C have now booked their spot for Semi Final play offs,’’ Ms Justus stated.
She added, Central Islands also made their way through after edging KOSSA FC 4-1 and thrashed Malaita Kingz 12-0 in their final match yesterday also at the SIFF Academy.
The other results of yesterday’s matches saw Koloale FC draw with Marist FC 0-0 while KOSSA FC defeated Malaita Kingz 3-0.
The championship will continue today with two final pool games.
Malaita Kingz will take on Real Kakamora FC at 2pm to be followed by Solomon Warriors and Western United at 3:30 pm.
“Today’s matches will determine next two teams for the semi-final matches,’’ Ms Justus stated.
Meanwhile the semi-finals and grand final date is yet to be confirmed.
