The Guadalcanal Hockey team which took part in the Solomon Games has praised their coach.
The Captains for the women and men teams, Jimay Wini and Kalita Belo said their Coach Jack Donga was the reason for their win.
The Guadalcanal men’s hockey team snatched gold while the women’s team won silver.
“We thanked our Coach who did his best to train us.
“He has faith in us that we will do well in this competition and we have the faith that when he trained us we will win.
“Our teams appreciate the time and patience he has with us.”
The captains said after their win the teams decided to thank their Coach.
“Without his time and effort we will not win.”
Mr Donga has been coaching the Guadalcanal Hockey team since last year preparing for this year’s competition.
The young captains said they would also thank God for the achievements.
